Note:  Any CA PRCA Rodeo that does not host a "Queen Pageant", but instead appoints a Queen to represent their rodeo and would like for her to participate at the PRCA RAM California Circuit Finals Rodeo (CCFR), must notify the Showdown Rodeo, Inc., in writing, of the name of their appointed "Queen" and acknowledge they have discussed with her, the requirements and obligations of all Visiting Royalty found on this page.  In addition, said appointed "Miss" Queen must be 17 years old by December 31 of the year she will attend CCFR and not to reach the age of 25 years old by December 31 the year she will attend the CCFR.

Additionally, if a California PRCA Rodeo would like to send a representative (other than a Queen) to carry their "Rodeo Flag", that rodeo must also contact the Showdown Rodeo, within the same timeline above, with the name of the person that will represent and present their "Rodeo Flag".   If you attend the CCFR to carry a flag, please dress in appropriate western attire as only current PRCA Miss California Rodeo Queens will be allowed to wear their queen crowns, sash, and/or chaps.

Again, the notification must be made in advance of the CCFR for 2019 - letters must be received no later than Friday, September 27, 2019.  This "Queen Confirmation" or “Rodeo Representative” letter may be emailed by the concerned rodeo committee to Sandy Travis at [email protected] or send to mailing address:

From Sandy Travis:

"This is a wonderful opportunity for our PRCA CA Circuit Royalty to represent not only the PRCA but each and every rodeo in the PRCA CA Circuit.  All eyes will be on each and every one of us in the arena.  I would like to ask that you take extra special care to ensure your equipment is clean and in safe working order.  Ensure your horses are of proper weight, hoof care, clean, and with mane and tail brushed out and free-flowing.  No paint, glitter, chalk, decorations on your horses, please.  Please make sure your outfits are clean with all of your silver (including crowns and buckles) polished.  I look forward to working and riding with each and every one of you!  If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact me - Sandy"
